Camden has been fighting to resurrect itself as a city, from the inside and out. There have been several campaigns that have focused on providing a positive public image of the city. All of these campaigns were important, and the stigma that surrounds the city seems to be diminishing. It is a little bit of a step backwards, though, and perhaps rather insulting to the city that “The Color Run Night” event is doing everything it can to publicize its upcoming event to be for Philadelphia, even though it is actually happening on the Camden Waterfront.
The “Next Events” say that an upcoming run will be in Philadelphia.
But the run’s course map is very clear to show that the run is happening completely on the east side of the Delaware River, AKA Camden. AKA, not Philadelphia.
Only in the Facebook event page is the Camden Waterfront mentioned, after Philadelphia though.
There really is not much to be said here, other than this stinks. Especially when a Camden-based entity, which has been supported by the taxpayers of the city and the state for so long, publicizes the event to Philly, as if this event is not for Camden.
